We are unequivocally committed to fostering a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all participants in ice hockey across Indonesia. We believe that every individual—athlete, parent, coach, official, volunteer, and staff member—has the right to be involved in our sport free from abuse, harassment, and discrimination. This policy, developed in accordance with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) regulations, outlines our zero-tolerance approach to any form of misconduct and our dedication to protecting the well-being of our community.

Our Fundamental Principles

Zero Tolerance

We maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, bullying, or discrimination. All allegations will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.

Child Welfare

The welfare and best interests of children are paramount in all our decisions and actions. We are committed to creating a child-safe environment where young athletes can thrive.

Responsibility

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility. Every member of the Indonesian ice hockey community has a role to play in recognizing, reporting, and preventing misconduct.

Confidentiality

All reports and investigations will be handled with the utmost confidentiality to protect the privacy of all parties involved, in accordance with our legal and ethical obligations.

What is Abuse and Harassment?

It is essential for all members of our community to understand the different forms of abuse and harassment. The following definitions, adapted from the IIHF Abuse & Harassment Regulations, provide clarity on what constitutes unacceptable behavior.

Bullying

Unwanted, repeated, and intentional aggressive behaviour that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. This can include making threats, spreading rumors, physical or verbal attacks, and deliberate exclusion.

Physical Abuse

Any deliberate act that causes or threatens to cause physical harm, such as punching, kicking, or forcing an athlete to play while injured.

Neglect

The failure of any person with a duty of care to provide the necessary support, supervision, or resources, leading to harm or the risk of harm.

Racism and Discrimination

Any action or attitude that subordinates or prejudices an individual or group based on race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal characteristic..

Emotional Abuse

Any act that diminishes a person's sense of identity, dignity, and self-worth. This includes verbal assault, humiliation, intimidation, and isolation.

Sexual Misconduct

Any conduct of a sexual nature where consent is not given or is obtained through coercion or manipulation. This includes sexual harassment and sexual abuse.
